Meilius Varkala Silent Revenant Meilius tilted his head at Kajiya's request, slightly, his expression quizzed, yet at the same time interested. Out of all the people the Banshee could have asked to help him train and invite to a spar, he had to pick the teenage, blonde, mute newbie before him. Perhaps it made sense for Kajiya, assuming he was as alone as Meilius has been led to believe - maybe the Deogen is the first member of Sector 3 he's even managed to introduce himself to. But if any member of Sector 3 who was familiar with Meilius ever heard of that, they'd, at best, raise their eyebrow at the odd choice. Vulture seemed to think Meilius had some promise. But, at the same time, both he and everyone else asserted that he was only here as a mistake. An act of desperation, taking a recruit who should have never been accepted into his role, and one in which he is not only going to last, but is also going to actively drag down his peers. And Meilius believed them. Perhaps it was that perception, and just how much Kajiya's request had just violated it, which got the young Revenant surging with confidence. His stature straightened and he stepped away from Jenga table, holding up his chin in thought. Right, if the two of them are planning to sneak out and train on their own, then they should go to... Ah, that's one option. It was one the Deogen decided upon in the end. Instead of answering Kajiya's question, Meilius suddenly stepped forward and waved with his hand to get his friend to follow - and marched towards one of the exits with determination.

Oh, he actually said yes? Kajiya certainly wasn't expecting that. Based on Meilius's initial facial expression, Kajiya figured that....well, the Banshee wasn't exactly sure what to make of that expression. Confusion? Over what? Kajiya mentally replayed his question back in his head, wondering if he had misspoke, or perhaps had accidentally slipped back into Japanese without realizing. Yet, it didn't take him long to confirm to himself that the confusion did not stem from misinterpretation. So if not that, then what was it? Whatever it truly was, it didn't last all that long, for Meilius's expression gradually shifted from one of confusion and apparent misunderstanding, to that of renewed confidence, causing the blond boy to stand up first, as if nonverbally accepting the invitation to spar in some corner of this facility. Nevertheless, Kajiya was quick to dismiss the earlier awkward silence that followed Meilius's initial confusion, and stood up to follow the Deogen as he started to move towards the exits. However, while Meilius moved towards the exit with a confidence that could have made it seem as if he was supposed to be leaving the party ahead of schedule, Kajiya wasn't so bold. His eyes darted back and forth, as if expecting Hilda to jump out of whatever shadows she probably hid in to scare innocent children, and drag him back to the party by his right ear or something. Thankfully, that didn't happen. It was only when Kajiya was safely in the hallway, and could hear the sound of music gradually fade into the background, did he look to his new friend and smile. They were actually doing this thing! Post Count: 9 | Meilius Varkala
