THREAD TYPES
There are four main types of threads, with combat orientated threads granting more experience.
Adventure
Adventure threads are generally social based threads with one or more players. While combat is not forbidden in Adventures, it is often done against NPCs and without the mechanical aspects of the game.
Solo Adventure Rewards: +1 EXP per 1000 words, maximum of 3 EXP may be earned from Solos per week.
Adventure (Two or More people) Rewards: +1 EXP and +150 Throes per 3 Posts
Spar
Spars are non-lethal battles between two or more combatants. Despite the names, these do not have to be RPed as Spars or Training. Players may only be knocked unconscious in Spars.
Rewards: +2 EXP per 3 Posts.
Winner: +1 Extra EXP
Battle
Battles are lethal combat engagements between two or more combatants. Players have the option of executing an Unconscious opponent with one half action, but are not required to.
Rewards: +2 EXP and +50 Throes per 2 Posts
Winner: +2 Extra EXP
Events
Events are special story-based threads run by a Gamemaster. Events are not required to be deadly and gamemasters are encouraged to state whether or not the Event is Deadly or not.
Rewards: +2 EXP and +150 Throes per 3 Posts.
GM: +1 Extra EXP upon completion.
ARCS
Arcs are a grouping of threads with the intention of telling an overarching story, or cause a major change within the setting. Arcs require an Arc Application and are typically made up of 3 to 5 Events before completion. Aside from setting changes, Arcs provide a bonus for GMs who see the Arc to completion. Events in an Arc must be done at least once every 1 to 2 months in order to remain valid and provide valid story changes within the events to count.
