A low, rolling fog crept along the side of the C.O.R.P.S.E provided transport car. It was a simple vehicle, a black van with enough room to fit a squad or two of armored soldiers. For the mission, it had been retrofitted with the requisite equipment for surveillance and defense if necessary. Motion sensors, Somnium Energy Readers, both photo and video cameras, and a rack holding all of the present agent’s weaponry. After the previous... incidents, the Higher ups had thought it best to not allow weapons when performing simple questioning and reconnaissance. As the vehicle crested over a hill, the driver of the Van would give a low whistle. The road continued downhill as one would expect. But about half way down, what appeared to be clouds covered the rest of the way. Even with the van’s headlights on, it was nearly impossible to see 5 meters or so in front of the van. After about a minute or so the driver would bring it to a stop and sigh. “We may have an issue” He’d half shout to the squad in the back and set the van in park. “I was ordered to stop outside the village. Shady van rolling up with a bunch of weird looking people is bound to draw suspicions. Issue is, I can’t really tell where ‘outside’ town is in this shit” He’d beckon to the cloud like fog. “I’m going to need you guys to carry on without me. I’m going to try and use the radars to get a loose map of the area. Keep in contact with me in case shit hits the fan” The man would unbuckle his seatbelt and awkwardly push past the front seats into the back of the Van. After taking a moment to adjust himself, he’d slink over to one of the many terminals installed into the van and begin tapping away. “Oh! And no weapons. Bosses want this to be a ‘nonlethal engagement’. Don’t worry about the wildlife, Revenants scare the shit outta them. Except for those maginoto weirdos or whatever they’re called” Just as the group continued onwards, the van driver would pop his head out of the window. “Oh, one more thing! Aside from the town being small, we don’t know much about it. Make sure to keep as many notes on it as you can!”
The Romanian wilderness was just about entering winter. The lush wilderness had a dull green color to it. There was a nip in the air, razor sharp as the winds began picking up. A soft howling could be heard alongside the soft creaking of trees. The road forward was unpaved and dotted with various animal tracks. Aside from the long and winding downwards road, there was little to use for direction. Dull pine tree hugged the road almost like a map border, getting more and more bunched up against the road the further they’d go. More observant members of the squad may notice that some trees even crept outwards into the path, making it nigh impossible for anything larger than a horse to pass through. The soft howling of the wind had all but ceased, leaving the forest in an eerie silence. Kajiya HogoshaMeilius VarkalaMaiarKseniya Zakarova

Stepping out of the van, the wiry ghoul-girl yawned, stretching her limbs out, seemingly unbothered by the howling cold winds. Dressed in a camouflage hoodie and camo-pants, her long blonde hair topped off by her signature skull-cap beret, Kseniya "The Ghoul" Zakarova looked more like a teen on a day out paint-balling than a serious and skilled paranormal paramilitary operative.
As she worked out the kinks after napping on the ride over, Kseniya snorted as she surveyed the desolate landscape around their drop-off point.
"Dom, milyy dom." the girl commented sarcastically in her native russian tongue. "I wonder if the locals have any Korovka?"
Kseniya regarded her fellow CORPSE operatives for the mission with an arched eyebrow. She hadn't bothered to talk to them on the ride in, prioritising her sleep and other factors. But now, deprived of her usual creature comforts of a sony walkman, candies, and her beloved Type 80 "Boris", Kseniya had no choice but to make an effort to communicate with those assigned to this mission alongside her. From what she'd bothered to pick up from the debriefing, they were relatively experienced. And since she hadn't been allowed to bring her weapon of choice, she had mentally decided to let them do most of the work.
"Don't ask me to translate. I don't speak Romanian or Bulgarian. Or maybe its Vlach they speak around here?" Kseniya shrugged diffidently. For all her nonchalance and apparent bratty attitude, she was fiercely intelligent, and had made an effort, both before this mission and in years past, to become intimately familiar with the region and other hotspots of known "spectral activity".
"Well, guess its time to stretch our legs. Last one to get to the village has to give me a piggy-back ride back." She said with a sardonic grin, flashing some eerily sharp teeth.
So saying she set off at as brisk a pace as her short legs would allow her, the wind whipping her hair as she went.

Getting informed that they will not be allowed weapons during the mission got Meilius Varkala to strike a faint frown, looking away during the debrief. He knew very well who they were implying while saying "previous incidents" - Meilius stood by his actions in Sofia, he saw them as the right thing to do, but he could understand why it would leave C.O.R.P.S.E. wary of trusting him with his swords anywhere.
Sure, his guess turned out correct, but holding a blade above a dying man like you're about to ritually impale him is still... crazy.
The Deogen remained silent throughout the trip, huddled up away from the rest of the team so the mist his body naturally made did not get in anyone's way, and spent his time sketching in a notepad. He made a sketch of the inside of the truck, and the three other operatives inside, focusing on the two new ones in particular. Unlike Kajiya, Maiar and Kseniya were unfamiliar - the man, as silent as him, told him that the two of them were related, but he... couldn't recall having a brother like that. Sketching their faces was a better way for him than any to remember them for the future.
Meilius stepped out of the truck silently, his eyes immediately distracted by the ominous scenery and dull wilderness - only to suddenly perk up when Kseniya mentioned korovka. Ohhh, he hasn't had those candy in a while - since before his death, actually. They weren't his favorite, they were so sweet that it was hard to eat too many of them, but now that the Russian girl mentioned them, he could really go for one...
The Deogen visibly shrugged and frowned at Kseniya's other inquiry - he couldn't speak either Romanian or Bulgarian, either. Not even their versions of sign - not that he expected anyone in an isolated village to be able to sign to him. With a trail of faint mist behind his feet, he set off with the rest of the group.

The small group all entertained themselves in one way or another it seemed. The girl called Kseniya slept which sounded like the most reasonable option really. Unfortunately, Maiar was too excited to close his eyes for that long. He was finally on a mission with his brother. Meilius was younger than him, but a little bit taller and mute. A strange pair they made, him being deaf and his brother mute. At least they could sign to each other. That was something they had in common. For the majority of the trip, Maiar was trying his hardest to make headway in bonding with Meilius, most likely being overbearing and obnoxious in the process. He repeatedly tried to share funny memes with him. Almost shoving the tablet in front of his face a few times. When that didn't yield positive results and Meilius started drawing, Maiar retreated inward, but only in an attempt to formulate a new plan to gain some points with his wayward sibling. After the explanation (Maiar read the man's lips and used context clues to put the rest together) the group exited the van one at a time. As soon as he was outside, the cold air hit him like a slap in the face. It had been nice and warm in the vehicle. Maiar made a face and then looked around. Not much to see, the trees bordered the old road and even narrowed it some. It was almost like mother nature was telling big cars and trucks to fuck off. Maiar reached down to rest his hand on his holstered pistol but sighed when he grabbed at nothing and remembered they wouldn't let him take it. Suddenly he felt a bit naked without it. He was wearing a dark gray sweater with patches on the shoulders, a pair of black and gray camo pants, and a pair of shiny black army style boots. His hands were covered in the black gloves he always wore. The older Varkala looked down the worn road and then back to the van, then over to his brother. He tugged on his sleeve and then pointed at the equipment in the van. There were some things that might be of use to them. He signed to Meilius, asking if he thought they should bring anything with them.

Another day, another headache. Another day in C.O.R.P.S.E.'s Van Full of Weirdly Talented Children. Kajiya was no stranger to standing out. In fact, his rather unnatural appearance often made him stick out in crowds, and not in the good way. However, even in a car full of people just like him--Revenants that is--he still felt rather uncomfortable. Here he was again on another potentially harrowing mission with people he barely knew heading to the middle of nowhere to find almost nothing. At this point, it was looking as if the white haired teenager had enough material to write a bestselling novel centered around a ghostie teen meeting ghostie friends and embarking on ghostie adventures. Nevertheless, Kajiya busied himself for the majority of the long car ride with his sketchbook. Pencil in hand, the eighteen year old doodled away on a piece of paper, and by the time the group had made their rather abrupt pit stop, Kajiya had finally concluded the finishing touches on a rather impressive sketch of what appeared to be a predatory bird, complete with proper shading. Seemingly intent to continue on the next page, Kajiya was forced to close the sketchbook and tuck it into his jacket, as the van slowly unloaded its passengers, with the Banshee himself being the last one to leave. Garbed in black pants and black combat boots and a black turtleneck, Kajiya would have at least been able to blend in with the sky when night fell if it weren't for the rather vibrant hoodie that he wore over the turtleneck. The hoodie in question was a rather bright blue base color, accentuated with a seemingly nonsensical array of intricate multicolored patterns that ran along both sleeves. This, paired with the boy's alabaster-like pale skin, stark white hair and bright red eyes, effectively made the Banshee the most unnatural appearing Revenant out of the four. “Oh! And no weapons. Bosses want this to be a ‘nonlethal engagement’. Don’t worry about the wildlife, Revenants scare the shit outta them. Except for those maginoto weirdos or whatever they’re called” The van driver yelled out at the group from the safety of the driver's seat. To the weapons part, Kajiya merely shrugged, stuffing his hands in his front hoodie pockets. He rarely needed weapons most of the time. Kajiya fancied himself more of a magician than a fighter, his studies into the arcane world of Revenant magic offering him an arsenal of abilities that didn't require a sword or a gun to accomplish. Although both of the latter examples certainly helped when it came to weird anomalies trying to kill you. The "Maginoto Weirdos" on the other hand, interested him. Was that part in the report? Did he remember to read the report? Shaking his head, Kajiya quickly banished the thought from his mind. Knowing him, he probably read the first few paragraphs, got bored and took a nap. "Don't look at me. This is a long ways from my zip code." The Banshee Investigator offered in response to Kseniya's comment regarding the possibilities of the what the local language was. The most experience he had with Europe was learning about European history in school classes that he barely gave a fuck about. Well, there was the Bulgaria Incident too, but that didn't exactly count as a lesson in European culture, as far as Kajiya was concerned. Walking past Meilius, Kajiya flashed the blonde Deogen a quick thumbs up, accompanied with a small smile, which looked a lot more forced than it really was, given it sharply contrasted with Kajiya's usual melancholy expression. Meilius, at least, he knew. He had the opportunity to meet Meilius during a forced lovely meet and greet amongst CORPSE individuals of varying Sectors several months previous. That, accompanied with a little sparring session, then added upon by the Bulgaria Incident, allowed the white haired Banshee the rare opportunity to know Meilius a lot better than the others in the party. Plus, things could only get better after the disaster in Burgas, right? Continuing along the beaten path, Kajiya let out a low sigh as he followed after Kseniya, replying to her final declaration after a long, drawn out yawn, "I ain't runnin' there. But I'm not giving you a piggy-back ride either."It was going to be a long day. Post Count: 1 | Sadbot | Meilius Varkala | Kseniya Zakarova | Maiar

It would indeed be a long day as the group continued onwards. The surrounding trees seemed to slowly creep off the path, making the road turned trail slightly less foreboding. A bit further down the trail, just barely an outline in the fog, was a sign. It simply had “Fricăras” etched into the wood. Just below it was a right arrow. A few steps further would reveal a path split with a sharp right turn. From where they stood, they could tell the right path led to a fairly small lake, fog slowly hovering and wisping off it. An old dilapidated fence lined most of the lake, with a small visible portion caved in and broken. Flowers, both natural and picked were wrapped along the bottom of the fence. At this point tree stumps seemed to outnumber the trees. Despite the presence of the lake, the fog even seemed to be lightening up. Another outline could be spotted just off to the right. Closer inspection would reveal it to be a small girl in a long dress which dragged along the ground. The girl wasn’t too dissimilar in appearance to the one the squad had encountered previously. She was humming something to herself as she twisted flowers around the bottom of the fence, grabbing a handful at a time from a small basket at her side. She seemed oblivious that anyone was around and simply continued on with her task. Meilius VarkalaMaiarKajiya HogoshaKseniya Zakarova

Kseniya gave the pale boy a smirk, privately happy that one of these three miserable sods had risen to her baiting. The other two had a slightly spacy look, and a silence about them that seemed to chime well with the quiet stillness of the woods. She had assumed she'd be the one kicking back while they led the way, but she was beginning to get a sense that despite being the newcomer to this team, she might be the one who the others would defer to.
Well, two could play at that game. If they weren't going to talk to her, she wasn't going to talk to them either. Though, the older brunette boy did seem a bit cute.
"So Snow-lock, how long you been rolling with the Quiet Twins? Or this your first time?"
She chatted idly, her arms behind her head as she walked briskly ahead with maximum diffidence, seemingly not even looking where she was going. Despite this, she seemed to avoid tripping over any obvious branch-roots, and her footing seemed quite steady. An astute observer might notice that she was wearing fingerless gloves, and that her nails were sharp and jagged. She kept pace easily, and tried to keep the mood light with meaningless banter, even as the atmosphere of the woods began to thicken.
After a short while, a foggy lake became visible, as did the distant outline of another young girl.
Instantly Kseniya was on guard, snapping from bored chatty teen to wolf-eyed predator, her nostrils flared and her hands curled into claws.
"You should talk to her Banshee boy. You give off a big brother vibe, young girls dig that."
As she said this, Kseniya's eyes seemed to scan the horizon, trying to pierce the wispy fog and see what lay beyond in the lake.
"Here, have one of my emergency candies. Tell her there's more back in your van."
She pulled out a cheap, plastic-wrapped lolipop, waving it lazily in Kajiya's directions, her eyes never leaving the strange tableaux ahead of them. For all the casual snark in her voice, the ghoul girl seemed easily spooked, or at least put on guard.
Her fingers seemed to twitch, either from lack of a gun, or perhaps simply an innate, carnivorous instinct to go for the sweet, sweet red meat that lay just ahead.

Before Meilius could take more than a few steps forward, he was stopped - Maiar stood before him and directed his attention towards the van - with a few signs, he brought up the fact that they were completely unarmed, and while they were not allowed to take their weapons from the van, it wasn't like that was the only thing they brought. Meilius looked back towards the vehicle and then towards his supposed brother, and flashed a smile with a nod to follow.
It was a good idea, after all.
As soon as Meilius returned to the van, he hopped to the back of the van and began looking around. Most of the stuff the Deogen had brought wasn't going to be useful - the notebook and pencil were already with him, so was his phone despite the very likely lack of connection, whereas the rest of his equipment was related to combat, such as the Soul Batteries. He did still have a small pack of painkillers laying around, so, if nothing else, he at least pocketed that.
Maiar's side of the van didn't have much more to take - though the Deogen did find a CORPSE-certified device there, which he promptly picked up and walked out with, almost triumphantly, before handing it over to his peer.
The team made their way across the Romanian countryside, a small path impenetrable for vehicles leading them across the woods, taking sharp turns before they finally reached a partially fenced off lake, with a small, inconspicuous girl which seemed...
...eerily familiar.
Already, Kseniya was offering to go talk to her and recruiting Kajiya for the task, lollipop and all. Meilius, however, was left uncertain. Their... adventure in Bulgaria started out in a similar way, too - with a mysterious little girl, appearing within the woods, and eventually approaching them - in fact, the two girls didn't even look that different.
On the other hand... who was he to assume that any girl they meet is a Syte?
Meilius turned towards Kajiya and pointed towards his eyes with his index and middle finger, moving them slightly, before pointing them back towards the girl. He assumed that the Banshee knew how to tell a Syte from their eyes, but he figured he could at least give another warning.

He'd never used something like this before but figured it might come in handy. He then followed the group as they made their way down the path towards the fence with flowers wrapped along the bottom of it. Just past the fence was a solitary girl who looked to be fidgeting with something in her hands. Maiar couldn't really tell what from his spot on the other side of the wooden fence. She hadn't noticed them yet. The deaf boy stepped onto the lowest rung of the fence and used it to get a better view, lifting himself up about a foot or so. She was braiding flowers together it looked like. He looked down at what he was stepping on, the same handiwork likely. Suddenly a bad feeling crept along the back of his neck and slithered down and extended outward to his extremities. Maiar turned to look at the others. He could see the Kseniya was saying something to Kajiya. He only caught the part about candy from reading her lips and then realized what she was trying to do. The red haired boy looked from the group over to the girl. This felt wrong. He was going to sign his worries to Meilius when his younger brother motioned to Kajiya to watch the eyes of the girl. Suddenly Maiar remembered the device, the Somnium Energy Reader. He wasn't really sure how to work it but he aimed it at the girl and pressed what he thought was the trigger button. Maybe it would work and give them some information, or maybe it wouldn't but it couldn't hurt to try at least.

And thus they were on their way. Pale, emo boy and his entourage of the mute and eccentric. A match made in Heaven. Hands still stuffed in his pockets, Kajiya made his way along the winding path with the only female member of the team--Kseniya. Now serving as the leading pair in this short walk through the woods, it was only natural, and perhaps even expected, that small talk served to break the silence. Kajiya hated small talk. "So Snow-lock, how long you been rolling with the Quiet Twins? Or this your first time?"Kajiya allowed a small smile to grace his features, and with it his blood red eyes slid over to regard Kseniya. First a piggy back ride and now idle conversation in the woods. If anything, he could at least rely on the fact that the mission wouldn't be a total drag, if not for the fact that Kseniya's commentary would keep things lively enough. "I've been called a lot of names in my time, but I give you brownie points for Snow-Lock. That one at least didn't suck too bad." Kajiya yawned as he continued to trudge through the forest, lazy red eyes flitting about, as if looking for something to complain about. A bored expression graced his countenance, and as he continued the journey, he decided it prudent to finally answer "Meilius. The blond one. We met at a CORPSE meet and greet a few months ago. He's a chill dude, even if he doesn't talk. Super smart too. But we were also responsible for the Burgas Incident so neither of us are necessarily too smart, obviously. But hey, whaddya gonna do?" Kajiya commented, only coming to a pause as the lake came into view. As well as the young girl. "You should talk to her Banshee boy. You give off a big brother vibe, young girls dig that." While surprised at the appearance of a young girl whose vibe was already firing off warning bells in his mind, he had that comment to deal with too, which hit him like a ton of bricks. He knew that Kseniya didn't know about him. How could she know? So it wasn't a malicious comment, that much could have been ascertained. Yet it still hit him as a truck. He couldn't even think of himself as an older brother anymore. If he was still...then he most certainly wouldn't be here... Alright, that's enough of that. His face became even paler (if that was even possible) and a melancholy expression overcame his face as he stepped forward, his hand snatching the lollipop out of Kseniya's hand as she offered it to him. However, instead of use it for its intended comedic purpose, the teenage Banshee simply unwrapped the candy and popped it in his own mouth. After all, he was too young for white van behavior...of course that didn't mean that there was a proper age for white van behavior. But if there was, it certainly wasn't his. "We should get a closer look." He suggested," "Quietly. As much as I wish I did, I don't know spells that can take away noise or anything like that. So try not to step on branches or anything..."Post Count: 2 | Sadbot | Meilius Varkala | Kseniya Zakarova | Maiar

As soon as Kajiya finished speaking, a loud methodical beep began to ring through-out the forest. It seemed to originate from the device which Maiar was currently pointing at the girl. The small screen on it seemed to jolt with life as it passed overed the girl, who was currently startled by the sudden noise. Pausing for a moment, she'd stumble to her feet and begin looking around before finally noticing the odd group of Revenants. Her large reddish brown eyes would shut as she gave them a big smile and a wave before returning back to threading the flowers. Mere seconds later a man's voice could be heard shouting "Ana!". Out of the brush came a fairly young man, long hair and dressed in somewhat modern clothes. He'd look at the group with surprise, before blinking and scratching his head. "I take it you all are tourists?" He'd ask. The man's accent was obviously American of some kind, but difficult to pinpoint. The man ignored the group for a while until finally spotting the girl. He gave a sigh and walked over to her. "Ana, you have to tell someone before you go out like that. I'd hope you realize that after all this time..." He'd sigh, rubbing his temple. "But I wanted to start decorating early..." She said, not looking away from her task. The man would lean down and pick her up, placing her on his shoulder. She'd give a slight pout as she crossed her arms and looked away. The man would look back to the group with a weary grin. "Uuh, sorry about that. We've got a local festival coming up and Ana likes getting a head start on it. Favorite time of the year. I'm Damien, Damien Rictore. If you want, I can show you how to get to the village. The path the villagers laid out is a bit of a trek" He'd begin moving back to the forest, checking to see if the people were following. Maiar could note that the Somnium Reader was going even more crazy everytime the duo passed it. “We’ve been getting a lot more visitors than normal. Folks from all over the world actually. Even had some odd fellows with strange looking armor come by. Scary looking guys, but they were cordigal enough. Weird voices too.” The man would flinch as Ana smacked him on top of his head for ignoring her. As he went to look up to her she would resume her pouting. The man gave a sigh and rubbed his head. “It’s nice to get some visitors every once and awhile. Just hope we don’t end up like some countryside tourist trap. Oh, speaking of which, when you get to Fricăras, make sure to look for the Pastrav Condimentat pub, they’ve got a good makeshift Inn over there. Better than that other shit sty. Cheaper too” Meilius VarkalaMaiarKajiya HogoshaKseniya Zakarova

The original, sneaky plan failed - Maiar's energy sensor, which Meilius recognized as the same device which he retrieved from the van before the four of them departed, gave their position away with a loud beep. Meilius gritted his teeth, glancing away to the side with a slight, disappointed frown. Surely, there must have been some sort of setting on the device to prevent this from happening in the first place...
Ah, who cares, they'll work with what they've got.
As soon as the little girl turned to them, a voice behind them gave her a name - Ana. A man speaking English and introducing himself as Damien approached them - the sudden appearance startling the young Revenant somewhat, but not any more than just a brief jolt. They didn't come across this man before, right. With how empty and barren these woods were, an another person making their way the same route shouldn't have gone unnoticed that easily...
...and the Somnium energy signatures which Maiar's tracker was registering with each pass...
Meilius sighed and waved towards the rest of the team, then began to follow after Damien and Ana. As he made his way across the treaded path, behind the man, the Revenant picked up a flower by the way's side - a blooming columbine, which he placed in Ana's basket while flashing a faint smile.

Maiar had one foot raised slightly to rest on the lowest rung of the old fence while he leaned on the highest wood beam with his elbows planted firmly against the wood. The device in his hand, as everyone would have noticed, was beeping rhythmically any time it was pointed towards the two strangers. To Maiar, however, he just saw the lights going on and off and some kind of needle moving from left to right. Left when nothing registered and over to the right whenever it was pointed in the child and young man's direction. The red haired boy gave the device a confused look and chewed at his lip. He didn't really understand what the device was telling him. He played with it a bit more until finally he huffed and looked up to ask Meilius if it was working or not. He caught the tail-end of his younger brother's gesture and watched the others all start to follow the two into town. Or at least he assumed that's where they were going. He wasn't aware of the conversation that just took place. He hopped back away from the fence and did a quick jog to catch up with the group. While he did, he switched the device off and stowed it in his back pocket. Maiar moved up next to his brother and gave a polite (but fake) smile to the girl as Meilius dropped the flower in her basket. He nudged his brother and signed to him about the device giving high readings whenever it was pointed at the two locals. He paused for a second, debating on how to word the next part. He then continued and asked if Meilius was suspicious of them at all?

Things just could never go right. Just as Kajiya had suggested the rather brilliant idea that they go stalking in the bushes to spy on a small girl, another voice called out, presumably the name of the girl. But before Kajiya could even have time to make a run for it, or hide in the bushes like he planned, a young man came stumbling out of the bushes, right before the group. From the way the man approached the girl, and affectionately lifted her up, the Banshee could only assume that they were related, possibly father and daughter. But who were they exactly? Why were that out here in the forest? Was the timing of the entire event just a little too convenient? Call the teenage CORPSE Investigator paranoid, but one fiasco in Burgas under his belt and he was just a bit too jumpy in regards to trying to avoid another one. But, even one who wasn't paranoid could begin to see things weren't adding up. The man's accent seemed distinctly American, but the words that followed him would make him appear to be some sort of native, which meant he would've had to be Romanian, or at least have something about him that gave off that vibe. Kajiya wasn't an expert in Romanian culture. Far from it, in fact, but the man that had just found them didn't give off too many...at least not right off the bat. Then there was the trust issue. If it had been him in the man's shoes, he'd have been a bit caught off guard finding four strangers staring at his little daughter in the middle of the woods, and would've jumped to "creepy stalker shit" before "Tourists!". This, accompanied with an immediate offer to guide them into town was too...too much. So Kajiya followed the man. With Varkala #1 and Varkala #2 being written out in terms of conversation, it seemed it was time for Kajiya to work his people skills. Well, as good as his people skills could be when people usually recoiled upon seeing his face and eyes. "We're glad we found someone out here. We were beginning to think our little nature trip was going to end in getting lost..." Kajiya spoke, playing up to the tourist act by laying his Japanese accented English a bit thicker than it usually was. Hands stuffed in his pockets, the white haired Banshee continued the trek with Damien and Ana, and seemed content to hold a little bit of conversation. "You're...you're pretty familiar with the area. Have you lived here a long time?" He inquired. A simple question, even bordering on idle chatter. But Kajiya figured he'd might as well try and glean a little bit of information from the man who was seemingly so hospitable. Post Count: 3 | Sadbot | Meilius Varkala | Kseniya Zakarova | Maiar

Kseniya's fists clenched and she suppressed a wince as the half-albino gave away their position by hailing the two strangers loudly. True, they hadn't exactly been proceeding in delta force fashion, but she would have thought he at least would show some level of discretion about approaching the locals before a situation had been properly established. Well, there was no helping it now. Time to play up the role of rube, and hope the other two geniuses in her team didn't find a way to complicate an already tricky situation. It was just like command, she thought. All of us Eastern European, but not a one of us speaks Romanian. Genius move. Expelling breath loudly, she moved forward with her usual projected confidence, though her instincts were screaming at her to be ready for combat. Maybe that was experience, or maybe just her ghoulish nature. Hard to tell sometimes. "Nice day we're having huh? You guys speak English right?" She made sure to play up an Americanised accent. She knew enough to know that Russians in this part of this world were likely to invite acrimony rather than acceptance. Whereas the loud, brash American was usually welcomed, if only ever grudgingly. "Apologies for my...college friends. They're a little spacy. All that nature really gets to you, you know." She said, waving her hands to emphasise. "I'm...Wanda. This is Peter. We got turned around on the trails back there. Is there a hostel nearby?"She moved to take charge, giving Kajiya a glare that was intended to be reproving, but on her youthful face looked more like a cute pout. If Captain Snow-lock was going to get chatty with everyone, best to have the Ghoul up-front, she figured. Even without her gun she could respond quickly to any sudden supernatural threats. She just hoped the two other mimes would follow her lead. Meilius Varkala Maiar Kajiya Hogosha Sadbot
